This novel, which begins in the mining camps of Nevada, is roughly based on the life of itinerant Methodist preacher George Wharton James. Wharton served parishes in Nevada and southern California. He was defrocked for adultery but later reinstated.
This hardcover book is in fair condition with moderate imperfections to the cover. Pages are in good condition with age toning and a few light pencil marks.
